My new resolution is to stop staring at my HD TV and get off the sofa. I have gained a lot of weight in the last couple of months and if I continue to view my HD television I may never be able to leave the house again. I never thought purchasing a new television was going to add pounds but it surely has. All I do is eat and observe high definition programming all day. I can't get enough of the high definition display because of its brightness.
I guess I could pull out the nordic track and watch the HDTV while working out but it's so much more enjoyable to just lay on the sofa. But like I said, it's time to forget about TV and get outside to lose some weight. I have struggled with my weight a little my whole lifetime but it truly is getting out of control now. My spouse hasn't said anything because he is so gracious to me but I am just not pleased with my appearance.
I have started on the Jenny Craig diet and want to start exercising. I called up a friend who is sacred to going to the gym and want to have him to be my personalised trainer. There's nothing like a friend to get you out of the house and into the gym. Besides, exercising with a friend is always so much easier and more enjoyable than doing it by yourself. The next thing I want to do is stop lying around watching so much high definition television.
It's crazy how addicted you can become to something like that. I start watching it and before I know it, 4 or 5 hours are gone. I could use those hours to clean the house, exercise, or make a sensible dinner for my family and kids. It's just not practical to sit and watch high definition television for that long. So I am going to quit watching it starting tomorrow. Not to say I won't ever watch it again, but I just need to control the dependency.
I have set a goal of losing 20 pounds in the amount of time it took me to gain it, about 3 months. I would like to keep the weight loss and lose an additional 20 pounds. I think I will be truly happy with that weight and maybe I could incorporate television back in again. Until I lose that amount though, it's about eating sensible and staying active.
